The Lucky Tiger Welcomes New Year design combines traditional Chinese paper-cutting elements with a modern twist. Breaking away from the traditional red color scheme, it embraces novel colors that evoke the image of spring. The design incorporates an abundance of flowers and plants, symbolizing a bountiful harvest and wishing for good fortune.

Created using Illustrator software and Photoshop image synthesis, the design is brought to life through digital printing. This ensures the faithful representation of the illustration's intricate details and vibrant colors.

The design is available in various formats, including postcards, Spring Festival couplets, and red packets. The postcards measure 105mm x 148mm and are printed on 400P thick cardstock. The Spring Festival couplets are 150mm x 150mm in size, while the red packets measure 95mm x 90mm.

By printing auspicious symbols, the design allows recipients to feel the blessings and invites good luck into their lives. It serves as a tangible reminder of the festive spirit and the hope for a prosperous year ahead.

The Lucky Tiger Welcomes New Year design was created in January 2022 and completed in February 2022. It was designed to be sent as a postcard to convey congratulations and well wishes for the new year.

The design draws inspiration from the traditional custom of New Year's blessings, combining zodiac signs and illustrations to convey good luck and preserve the value of this cultural tradition.

The design presented several challenges, including combining the image of a tiger with the concept of paper-cutting, simplifying the shape while maintaining visual richness, and incorporating traditional festive elements. The result is a harmonious blend of modern and traditional aesthetics.

Lucky Tiger Welcomes New Year combines zodiac signs with traditional Chinese paper-cut elements, creating a design that resembles a view through a window frame. Outside, auspicious animals roll gold coins, symbolizing the arrival of wealth and prosperity. The use of spring-like colors, the departure from traditional red, and the abundance of flowers and plants all contribute to the design's message of good fortune for the year.
